I've been going hard on my design external and various other tasks. No time to post really. But not much has happened to document so nobody is missing out on anything.
Had a run in with a rent-a-cop today. He pulled into Pinehaven School and we knew it was gonna be because we had been riding Jordans motorbike around the school. We told Jordan to leave before he came over so hit started up and sped off home. The guy came over to us and asked us who's bike it was, we completely ignored him, said nothing. He then said "Pardon me?", yet we had said nothing...? Idiot. I said "Who's riding it?" Obviously the owner...
He said we weren't allowed it on school property and we replied with "Can't you see that he has already left the grounds and is heading up the road in the opposite direction?". He just repeated again that we were to have it off the grounds or he would call the police.
I Lol'd.
I asked him who rung him up and told him we were here, he said nobody did and that they always come here at random times to check on the school. I said that we never really see them around here to which he replied "We are always here at this time... And other random times."
It seems there was a minor contradiction in that start of his sentence, I now knew he was just finding reason to annoy us further. He said that if he sees the bike again he will have it confiscated. I tell him he can't do that because he is a rent-a-cop with no rights over us.
Either he heard me and ignored or could not comprehend my simple statement.
Shouldn't he be out trying to stop real crime? Not telling teenagers to stop riding motorbikes on huge open fields with nobody on them...
Meh.

Cube
So my new found interest is the Rubik's Cube.
I've learnt all the basic algorithms up until the final one. Need to do that one a few more times until i can proudly say i can solve a Rubiks Cube by myself. Should be able to get good times under 2 minutes with a bit of practice.
Half day tomorrow, which is good.
I have my design portfolio board stuff which needs to be done. I've got a lot of work to do over this next week and a half. The designs i'm doing atm look much better than what i was doing previously though, which is a good thing. Just hope i make the deadline...
There's one of the Billboard concepts...
Nothing really to write about really. Didn't get to eat any tea tonight because the rest of my family enjoy eating at early times when i am not hungry, usually this does not matter because we eat food that can be reheated, but tonight they brought Fish n' Chips, which is unedible if heated in the microwave. So i skipped dinner. Might go eat some chocolate chips if i get hungry.
My opinion on:
The age raise for fireworks purchase: Nuetral (Doesn't stop us from using fake I.Ds and getting friends to purchase etc.)
The reduced days of sale leading up to Guyfawkes: Disagree, Think we should have a week still. It's easier for parents, they're not pressured to rush and buy everything they need all at once. If stuff goes out of stock they may not have time to bring in spare stock form other stores...
Sparklers only being available in the large family packs of fireworks: Fucking Bullshit. How the hell am i supposed to have a little harmless fun this year? I never hurt anybody with sparkler bombs. This is just going to motivate me to make bigger and more potentially dangerous bombs. Molotov Cocktails anybody?
I play IJ now too, gives me something to do between spawns in CS and when i'm doing design work so that i don't get bored doing the same thing over again.
Link45 Lan is this weekend, i'm struggling to decide between attending the Lan or going out to the Fireworks Fantasic. I hate shit like this, grrr.

Conclusion and Plans
Uni weekend was fun. We drove up in an XR6, very nice. Spent the nights at Dannys parent's place, nice house they had, even nicer spa they had outside. Muzzle landed double backs on the flat, beating me to it. He also landed double flips on the flat. Epic.
Riding was alright on Saturday, had a pretty sore neck which resulted from not sleeping with a pillow the night before. All was good though in the evening when we went to Wills and had Pizza. Headed on back to Dannys and relaxed in the Spa. Went to sleep.
Sunday, street ride. Was alright, didn't land much. New trick i landed was a back sex change. Which is just a back crankflip with a body varial. Also almost landed a Back Trey, which is a back crankflip with a 360 unispin.
Went to Henrys and watched footage from the weekend. Then left and went back to Dannys for another late evening spa. Was very good. Slept. Woke up. Travelled back to Wellington.
All up, Uni weekend was pretty decent. Looking forward to next years more though, seeing as it's in Wellington and all.
Weekend Plan?
Yeah, Get drank at Saschas on Friday apparantly. Do some crazy shit on Saturday night cause it's the Fireworks Fantastic. Lol.
Gotta love sexual innuendo.

Weekend +1
Juliens Party occured on Saturday night. Wasn't too bad, drove out some jock fags from inside when they came walking in and Tim and I were playing JFAC quite loud, was funny.
It was fairly segregated at the start. Sandy, Jono, Tim and I were all inside and the rest were outside. A little later others started arriving and making there way inside. I did not mind for i had found food to keep my mind occupied. Played a little bit of Flash Portal, which is all the Portal loving i'm getting at present (Still haven't brought The Orange Box).
Hamish and I left to mission it to Mc D's. Brought ourselves some Chick Cheeses and headed over to my school to eat. Sat there for awhile then headed on back to Saschas.
Sounded like Katies fun in Saschas room was shortlived. Hahaha.
Went to bed at some random time and listened to music till 6am.
Woke up at 11 and went to Stream. Came back, cleaned up, chilled. Went home.
Wasn't sure if i had school or not today so i didn't go. Had a good sleep in and learned some stuff on Bass and Guitar.
What fucks me off is that Ipods have so much media attention in NZ and they are shit. I have never owned an Ipod and never intend on doing so, but from other peoples experiences with them i have found that they always freeze and don't perform right. My Samsung YP-K5 has never cut out on me and always works. Nearly all other MP3 players i've used over time perform just as well. Why then, is everybody still buying Ipods? It's because the general userbase of Ipods are sheep and are buying the name and not the product. They see it as a fashion statement, it's 'Cool' to have an Ipod. Bullshit, i'd rather have my Samsung than some basic looking piece of shit that is owned by nearly everyone. Wouldn't you rather have something different to everyone? There would be no downsides either, i mean, it even works better...
You only have so many colours to choose from.
What could kill an Ipod? A Zune. Have Zunes been released in NZ? No.
Why the fuck not? I mean shit, they ARE good. They have even been improved upon further with the release of the 2nd Generation specs available. Ipods have been around for how many generations? 5, 6, 7?
I don't know, I've lost count. Yet they still lack the main quality everything should have. It should WORK.
Hopefully when the new Zunes are released overseas they will be imported to NZ. Will give something else with the Ipods features but in a more user friendly player.
Competition is good.

Back to Normal
Ahh Finally got XP to install. Mmmm Fresh.
It's even cleaner than it was before. I deleted heaps of old files and reformatted some older partitions that had some old OS installs on them. Don't have a boot menu anymore which is cool and i think i've fixed my Zboard so that it runs during boot.
Played about 10min of CS before, felt nice. I'll play some more in the morning, too tired atm.
Got some good rep in for the clan though.
Patched my MSN. Looks so much better without those fucking ads at the bottom, tabs on the side and the search bar at the top. Added and removed some buttons to the main window and the conversation windows. Looks so much more sleek and clean, the way i like it.
No school Today or Tomorrow for me. 4 day weekend, should be good. Although the outlook for future weather is looking bleak.
Kane & Lynch! Looks and Sounds awesome. More on that next post though...
The Orange Box is out and i don't have it =[ Oh how i long to play Portal and TF2.

Start of the End. A little good news...
So by my standards, I got pretty drunk on Friday night. For free, which is even better. Threw up like a mother fucker and did my own epic clean up. Was all good though. The night did involve me piercing my own lip which was pretty funny. Didn't hurt at all and now i have myself another nicely healing piercing.
Which leads me to another stretching update. I'm on 10mil in my left and 5mil in my right. I have my sisters 10mil plug in which she's been trying to get up to for a while now. She had already been stretching her ear for ages when i started stretching mine and now i've passed her. Was a mission going from the 8mil spike to a 10mil plug though. Involved me pushing a 9mil knitting needle through then quickly taking out and putting a paint brush handle through, then finally the plug itself. I've had it like that for a while so all that's stopping me from getting to 12mil is my lack of money.
Sunday, I tried to relax for the last day of the holidays. Got pretty boring though.
Monday, and it was the start of the new term. It's good though because we have mock exams and i only have 2. Which means i get 3 days and 2 half days off this week, Friday is one off those days, so long weekend for me. English was today. I found the essays fairly moderate, could not be bothered doing the unfamiliar so i only managed to get a little bit of it done. Wednesday i think i have Maths. Not too sure, will have to check on that.
Been learning some cool walking bass lines. Most are easy once you've got the hang of them and they sound really cool. Good for improvising too. Here's something i hope to be able to play sometime:
Pretty epic. Looks fun.
My XP install has died again. Had a pretty good run this time round. Will have to get the install disk back off Sascha to use again. Need to play some CS if i still want to be in this clan.
NZUni weekend is set for next weekend. I need to get some money off the olds for it. Should be a pretty heavy night of drinking and riding on the Friday. Team H reunited once more.
Gaming News
There is a lot of good news to report from the past few days. Including info about Crysis, GH3 and Gears of War for the PC.
Firstly, Crysis. What i like from hearing about Crysis is the wide arrange of ways you can complete a specific task. This is outlined by the guys over at Gamespot who were given the chance to play the level 'Assault' which basically is you fighting against many North Koreans after having failed to infiltrate an island occupied by them. You have to drop in via a more traditional aerial assault. The objectives are to destroy some AA guns situated at different points. How you do this is up to you, you could storm the front, or stealth your way around the map and do things more quietly. Things can more easily be achieved by using your Nano-suits special abilities. "For instance, we stuck to the beach for the first part of the mission and used the suit's super-strength to leap up small bluffs and over large obstacles. Once we got in position to snipe at enemy machine-gun posts, we used the strength ability again to steady our aim through the weapon scope. When the machine-gunners were killed, we dove into the water and used speed to swim quickly to the next spot, where we switched back to strength to leap up the cliffside. At that point we battled it out with the defenders, who threw grenades in an attempt to flush us out from cover. However, when we spoke to another player, he mentioned that he had used speed to quickly dash up to the heavily-defended antiaircraft gun, plant explosives on it, and then dash off and detonate them before the defenders could properly react."
This to me, is what's going to make Crysis such a groundbreaking game. Not just it's superb graphics. Due to be shipped on November 17th.
Guitar Hero 3 is also looking very good. Have a look at some of the bands on the set list. Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, the Beastie Boys, Weezer, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Foghat, Cream, the Who, Sonic Youth, Aerosmith, Guns 'n Roses, Metallica... Do i need to say more?
When Gears of War was originally demoed. It was being showed running on a PC funnily enough. Not a 360. Not only is it not just a crappy port for the PC it also have exclusive content. The PC version has been fully reworked to give it the PC feel and the graphics are up to standard. What's even greater news is that most of the new content wont be able to be downloaded by the 360 users. Ha! Take that consoles. The game will also come with the toolkit so users can create their own mods and levels for multiplayer etc. It also comes with 5 new single player chapters, 3 new multiplayer arenas and a new multiplayer game mode. The new single player chapters start off where GOW on the 360 finished and 360 players who have brought the game on PC will be able to start straight from this point and skip what they have already played. These new chapters are set to give about an extra hour of gameplay on regular difficulty. The new multiplayer game mode is King of the Hill.
The control scheme for the PC is said to be very intuitive. You will be able tp plug a 360 controller in if that's how you want it but the mouse offers much more precision than a gamepad. Controls are quite simple to get used to. Space to duck behind cover. Hold right click to pop out the side and release to return behind cover. Double tap W to run. Seems simple enough.
Visually, it will be very nice. The minimum specifications to run it are as follows:
2GHz AMD or a 2.4GHz Intel single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an Nvidia 6600 or ATI X700 video card.
It is not cross platform BUT it is able to run on XP or Vista, which is good because nobody should have to suffer the burden of running Vista just to play this. It will also be playable online with Windows Live, Microsoft's PC version of the Xbox Live service. Achievements have also been reworked from feedback acquire form the 360 game. Given that the PC version is being released less than a year after the 360 version was, this makes the PC community feel more a part of the club and not just getting an old heated up port from the 360. What's more important about this is that it feels like a native PC game and has been given extra content. Due to ship on November 6.

Return
Woke up at Tims and got ready to head down to Saschas. Got down there and didn't do much. Headed down to Stream, got some money, ate some Mc Donald's for the first time in about 2 weeks. Went back to Saschas and Reinstalled XP on the Acer. Runs a lot faster now but having some issues with the graphics card. What can i say, it's an ATI... Pie mission down to Mobil in Ashtons ride. The van has epic sounds. Nothing like a chicken and veg' pie while listening to black metal. Had to reinstall XP on the Acer again as the Windows partition wasn't big enough for some critical updates. After i sorted that just downloaded some programs for it while talking on Msn. Guitar Hero got set up and is being played at the moment by the others. Ashton who is king on guitar, picked up Guitar Hero pretty fast which was to be expected. He brought around his:
Which loops a riff you play so you can solo over it etc. Epicness x10
Nothing very interesting has been submitted in the Digg world. Only video i watched that i thought was worthy was this insane sticky on Halo 3.
A Kit Kat Chunky awaits me in the other room, as well as some extra warmth. Do i leave? Not right now...
New Zoooones have been released, look pretty cool. I would much rather one of them than a gay pod.

Featuring:
- It's called the Zune 80 and, shockingly enough, it has 80GB of storage.
- Uses the new Zune Pad -- four way touch-sensitive d-pad (with up, down, left, and right buttons).
- It will sell for $250 (with "premium" headphones).
- Available only in black (to start).
- Screen size has increased to 3.2-inches (from 3-inches). As far as we know the resolution is still QVGA.
- Dimensions are 61.1 x 108.2 x 12.9mm (2.4 x 4.25 x 0.5-inches), some 1/3rd smaller than the classic Zune.

Movement
Got banished from Sascha's house, due to the fact that he was going over to Kristies house for 1 night. So i packed up my computer, jammed myself into Tims car with AJ, Jono, Brody and Tim. Slightly fractured my neck on his back windscreen due to excessive speeds and poor suspension. Unloaded AJ's computer then continued on our way to mine. Pulled over, unloaded, went inside and set up my computer next to the other family computer.
Had trouble setting up internet connection on my computer because my ethernet cable was fucked. I tried the other ethernet cable and it worked, so i used that. Browsed for a few hours. Had a shower. Got back on computer, made an improvised headset with my headphones and stick microphone, loaded up Steam, loaded up Source, loaded up Xfire, prepared to play. New round on Office map. Chose the usual CT's and brought my weapons, only to be interrupted by my Step dad.
Apparently, according to him, I am no longer allowed to game. If i am seen gaming i will have my internet dc'd. I didn't take this news lightly and argued as to why this decision had been made. Of course it had to do with my bandwidth usage from the previous 3 months. I had gone over progressively more each month until finally they decided that they would not let me game.
In short, i got angry. Said some shit and left the house. Walked up to Jono's one way while he was walking to mine the other way. I got to his as he got to mine and after a phone call he was again walking, this time to his own house. He got back and we headed off down to Stream, making a short stop on the way at the school to rendezvous with my sister and obtain my money and cellular phone. Then proceeded to Stream where we rented the movie 'A Scanner Darkly' and I purchased a top up card and a cold beverage. Walked back to Jonos and watched the movie and ate chips. The movie was different, but good. Hard to understand in parts but worth another watch sometime. Then went to sleep.
Woke up. Walked home. Arrived at my driveway at the same time as Tim was pulling in. Great minds think alike i must say. Went inside and unplugged my computer to prepare for transport to Saschas house. Jono came around and I found out not long after i had unplugged it, that Sascha was again staying the night at Kristies and we therefore we were not going to be going to Saschas. In spite of this unwanted news i found something to do with my computer while it was unplugged. I decided to clean it. Took the sides off and vacuumed inside of it. The fans are now free of dust. Jono went home for tea and Tim left too soon after.
I decided to have a shower, minus the power nap, I felt pretty awake already. Got changed and made myself a Burrito which i ate while watching random videos on YouTube. Got bored pretty fast and was awaiting the time at which Jono, Sandy and I would be leaving to go to Tims. The hours rolled by and Jono came to mine. I had myself 2 more Burritos and some water. Twas nice. Sandy arrived and we then left.
We made a detour to New World before going up to Tims. I purchased a Geforce and some chips. At checkout, was asked weather or not i wanted to donate $1 to Te Omanga Hospice for charity. I cheerfully declined, took my wares and exited the shop.
Got to Tims with freezing hands. They soon became warm. Talked about funny shit in his room. Shifted to other room and played some Halo 3. Talked about funny shit in here also. i got on the computer and proceeded to blog.
Holidays have been pretty uneventful to this point, been mainly occupying Saschas house the whole time. Pretty keen to get drank, but have low fundage. I think we will decide to do something good on Friday or Saturday hopefully to wrap these holidays up.
New Zboard Merc Stealth designs have been released. Not sure how long ago, but I only just noticed. So new for me. Clicky. The new boards have LED illuminated backlit keys which come in 3 different colours. Blue, red and purple. These can be adjusted to various levels of brightness. The gaming keys have also been rubberised slightly so they feel and perform better. What's coolest about the new design is the integration of 2 USB ports in the back of the board which could be used for MP3 players, Externals, Mice etc. Also, there are gold plated audio jacks which could be used for obvious purposes.

New Month
So it's the 2nd, but i've been awake since the 1st so all is good.
I have regained internet fully so will be posting regularly like in August. September was an off month.
I am now in a CS clan. Omnipotent Soldiers or #OpS www.ops-gaming.com
Haven't really been up to much, went home and had a power nap in the shower. Saves time and proves i can multi task. Then came back to Sascha's and played CS. Watched heaps of good video clips from the Ogrish forums and now am going to catch some of sleep.
